SJCC Track and Field advances to the State Finals

San Jose City College Track and Field continues to set new records.

The Jaguars submitted strong performances at the Northern California Track and Field Championships held at Modesto Junior College (Modesto, CA) on Friday, May 10, 2019. Congratulations to Jaziah Lawson and Angela Ruiz, both of whom advanced in their respective events to represent San Jose City College at next week's California State Junior College Track and Field Championships.

Jaziah Lawson high jumped 5 feet, 1 inch at the Northern California Track and Field Championships, but will be working to beat her personal best of 5 feet, 5 inches at this coming Friday's state meet.

Teammate Angela Ruiz threw the hammer 129 feet, 7 inches. Like her teammate Jaziah, Angela will prepare this week to beat her season's best throw of 146 feet, 3 inches at Friday's state championships.
